Who We Are

Georgia Power Valdosta Federal Credit Union was granted a federal charter in March 1958 to serve the financial needs of the Georgia Power Company employees and their families across the southern tier of the state. It remained a single sponsored occupationally bonded credit union until 1995. By the end of that year, it had converted to a multiple employee group charter. It currently boasts over 50 employee groups in its field of membership.

A Shared Vision

It is the shared vision of the Board of Directors, Management, and Staff of Georgia Power Valdosta Federal Credit Union that; while remaining financially strong, the credit union achieves the distinction from members of providing quality, convenient, friendly, and full financial services. The credit union exists to protect, preserve, and safeguard the assets entrusted to it by its members/owners; to offer financial services of quality at fair rates; and to promote the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
