PHISHING SCAMS ARE ON THE RISE

Checking e-mail is not safe as we would all like it to be. New internet scams keep popping up everyday. One of the biggest scams is called Phishing. Phishing is a form of identity theft where consumers receive e-mails from what seems to be a valid financial institution. These e-mails request personal and financial information, which can
then be used in fraudulent ways.
Georgia Power Valdosta FCU will never ask you to provide personal or financial information via e-mail and you should never provide this information to anyone, no matter how official the request may seem. If you receive any e-mail requesting information about your account with Georgia Power Valdosta FCU, please contact us
immediately at (229) 253-1111.
