Credit Unions: Dream...Belong...Achieve
We all have dreams. Maybe it's purchasing that first home or enjoying the sense of financial security. A loan for that new set of wheels or a college degree. Credit unions around the world help more than 120 million credit union members achieve their dreams - whatever they may be.
Dream...Belong...Achieve is the theme of this year's ICU Day. International Creedit Union Day celebrates the history, tradition, and spirit of the international credit union movement. Established in 1948, International Credit Union Day is celebrated annually on the third Thursday in October, bringing people together to reflect upon theri cooperative history, credit union achievements and to prompt the credit union idea around the world.
This international credit union day, we are celebrating the credit union difference:
- Members are owners, Not Just Customers
- Democratic structure of One Member, One Vote
- Profits Belong to the Members
- Service Makes the Difference
