Office Facility
In their June 2004 board meeting, the board of directors gave final approval on the design and construction of a new full-service financial facility for the members of Georgia Power Valdosta FCU. The site of the new office building is at 1711 Dow Street which is in the Business Center Business Park located on the corner of Norman Drive and River Road directly across from the new WalMart location.
The location was chosen for its accessibility from the major arteries of Norman Drive, St. Augustine Road, West Hill Avenue, and Interstate 75. The building is designed to provide efficient, convenient, and complete financial service to you. It will come complete with drive-through teller lanes, a night depository, an on-site ATM, and plenty of parking for those transacting business inside the attractively designed facility.
J. Glenn Gregory & Associates designed the facility
and Osborne Construction of Valdosta has been chosen
as the General Contractor and has promised a completion
date in early 2005. You will be kept informed of its
progress.
Debit Cards Are Coming......
Georgia
Power Valdosta FCU will be releasing a new service
during the third quarter of 2004, VISA
Debit Cards . All current ATM cardholders
will automatically receive a debit card. The new
debit card will do everything that our ATM card
does now, plus much more.
Your debit card will serve as an ATM card tied
to the same ATM networks we currently use. You
will be able to get an ATM cash withdrawal from
your checking or savings account. Your will also
be able to check account balances. The debit card
also serves as a Point-of-Sale check card usable
anywhere you see the VISA logo. Remember, although
the debit card resembles a credit card, when used,
the transactions will post to your checking account
withdrawing funds.
Watch for the release date of this new service.

Temporary Checks now available from your Credit Union
Have you ever failed to reorder checks for your checking
account in a timely manner and completely ran out? You
do not have to panic any more. The credit union can
now supply you with personalized temporary checks until
your reorder is received. The temporary checks can be
purchased at the counter four to a sheet at $2.00 per
sheet.
